These terms apply to the Trinity Guarantee offered by Trinity Business Group Ltd (“Trinity”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Effective date: September 2026.
01The Trinity Guarantee
The Trinity Guarantee is our commitment to help eligible UK businesses reduce the cost of their business energy and telecommunications contracts.
Where an eligible customer provides Trinity with a genuine renewal quotation for qualifying business gas, electricity or mobile services, Trinity will assess the quotation against the available market and, where commercially possible, seek to provide a lower-cost alternative.
If Trinity is unable to beat the qualifying renewal quotation, and all of these Terms & Conditions have been satisfied, Trinity will contribute towards the customer’s qualifying energy or mobile bill for up to 12 months, subject to a maximum total contribution of £5,000.
The Guarantee is subject to the eligibility requirements, exclusions and other conditions set out below.
02Who can use the Guarantee?
The Trinity Guarantee is available to qualifying UK businesses that:
- are a genuine business customer;
- have a qualifying renewal quotation for gas, electricity or business mobile services;
- provide Trinity with a complete and genuine copy of the relevant renewal quotation;
- have not already accepted, signed or commenced the relevant renewal contract before submitting the quotation to Trinity;
- provide any information reasonably required by Trinity to verify the quotation and eligibility; and
- satisfy any applicable credit, supplier, regulatory or contractual requirements.
Trinity reserves the right to decline a Guarantee claim where these conditions have not been met.
03What counts as a qualifying renewal quotation?
A qualifying quotation must:
- relate to the customer’s own business premises, account or mobile services;
- be issued by a legitimate supplier or provider;
- clearly identify the relevant charges, tariffs, rates or contract costs;
- be sufficiently recent for Trinity to reasonably assess the quotation;
- relate to services that Trinity is able to supply, arrange or procure; and
- be capable of independent verification where reasonably required.
Trinity may request additional documentation, including previous bills, renewal notices, contracts, meter information, consumption information or mobile service details.
04What does “beat your renewal quote” mean?
For the purposes of the Guarantee, Trinity will compare the qualifying renewal quotation with a comparable proposal available through Trinity.
The comparison will take account of relevant commercial factors, which may include:
- unit rates;
- standing charges;
- contract length;
- estimated or actual consumption;
- applicable taxes and government charges;
- mobile tariffs and allowances;
- number of connections or users;
- contract features and included services; and
- other material charges or benefits.
A proposal will only be considered comparable where Trinity reasonably determines that the products or services being compared are sufficiently similar.
The Guarantee does not require Trinity to match or beat a quotation by removing essential services, materially reducing the specification or otherwise providing a substantially different product.
05If Trinity cannot beat the renewal quotation
Where Trinity has assessed an eligible renewal quotation and is unable to provide a comparable proposal at a lower overall cost, the customer may be entitled to the Trinity Guarantee.
Subject to these Terms & Conditions, Trinity will contribute towards the customer’s qualifying bill for a maximum period of 12 months, up to a maximum total value of £5,000.
The contribution will not exceed the amount actually payable by the customer for the qualifying services during the applicable period.
06How the £5,000 maximum works
The maximum Guarantee contribution is £5,000 in total per qualifying customer and qualifying claim.
The £5,000 maximum is not:
- a cash payment automatically payable to the customer;
- a guaranteed £5,000 payment;
- transferable to another business or person; or
- payable in addition to the customer’s actual qualifying bills.
Where the customer’s qualifying bills are less than £5,000 during the relevant 12-month period, Trinity’s maximum liability will be limited to the qualifying amount actually payable.
07How the Guarantee contribution will be provided
Trinity will determine the appropriate method of providing the Guarantee contribution on a case-by-case basis.
This may include, where appropriate:
- a credit against an eligible Trinity invoice;
- payment directly towards an eligible supplier bill; or
- another mutually agreed commercial arrangement.
Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, the Guarantee does not entitle the customer to receive the contribution as a cash alternative.
08Claim procedure
A customer wishing to rely on the Guarantee must contact Trinity and provide the relevant renewal quotation and supporting information.
Trinity may require:
- the original renewal quotation;
- the customer’s current or previous bill;
- contract details;
- consumption or usage information;
- supplier or network information;
- evidence that the quotation remains available; and
- any other information reasonably required to validate the claim.
Trinity will assess the information and confirm whether the customer qualifies.
No Guarantee claim will be considered approved unless Trinity confirms eligibility in writing.
09Time limits
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer must submit the qualifying renewal quotation to Trinity before accepting or entering into the relevant renewal contract.
The Guarantee cannot normally be claimed retrospectively where the customer has already accepted a renewal or entered into a new contract without first giving Trinity the opportunity to assess the quotation.
10Market conditions and supplier availability
Energy and telecommunications markets can change rapidly.
Trinity does not guarantee that a cheaper tariff, contract or service will always be available.
Where circumstances outside Trinity’s reasonable control materially affect the market, including significant changes in wholesale costs, regulatory charges, taxation, supplier pricing, supplier withdrawal or changes in market availability, Trinity may be unable to provide a comparable alternative.
Such circumstances may affect eligibility for the Guarantee.
11Exclusions
The Trinity Guarantee does not apply where:
- information supplied by the customer is inaccurate, incomplete or misleading;
- the quotation has already been accepted;
- the relevant contract has already commenced;
- the quotation is not genuinely available to the customer;
- the customer has materially changed the services being compared;
- the proposed Trinity service is not reasonably comparable with the renewal quotation;
- the customer’s account is subject to outstanding or disputed amounts that prevent the relevant service from being supplied;
- the claim arises from circumstances outside Trinity’s reasonable control;
- the customer has breached the applicable supplier or Trinity contract;
- the claim relates to services outside the scope of the Guarantee; or
- the customer has attempted to manipulate or circumvent the Guarantee.
Trinity reserves the right to determine whether a claim falls within these exclusions, acting reasonably and in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
12One Guarantee per qualifying renewal
The Guarantee applies to the qualifying renewal quotation submitted to Trinity.
It cannot be duplicated, transferred or claimed multiple times in respect of the same renewal or the same underlying service.
13No guarantee of future market prices
The Guarantee is based on the information and market conditions available to Trinity at the time the quotation is assessed.
It does not guarantee that Trinity’s price will remain lower than the customer’s renewal price throughout the life of a contract or that future market prices will remain unchanged.
14Customer responsibility
The customer remains responsible for:
- checking the suitability of any contract before accepting it;
- providing accurate information;
- paying its supplier invoices when due unless otherwise expressly agreed;
- complying with its supplier contract;
- providing Trinity with information reasonably required to administer the Guarantee; and
- notifying Trinity promptly of any material change affecting the claim.
The Guarantee does not remove the customer’s contractual obligations to its energy or telecommunications supplier.
15Liability
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Subject to that requirement, Trinity’s maximum liability under the Trinity Guarantee shall not exceed £5,000 per qualifying customer and qualifying claim.
Trinity will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, loss of business, loss of opportunity or other losses arising outside the direct value of the Guarantee contribution, except where such limitation is prohibited by law.
16Changes to the Guarantee
Trinity may amend, suspend or withdraw the Trinity Guarantee for future customers or future claims.
Any change will not affect a Guarantee that Trinity has already confirmed in writing, except where required by law or where the relevant customer has agreed otherwise.
The version of these Terms & Conditions applicable to a claim will normally be the version in force when Trinity confirms the customer’s eligibility.
17Fraud and misuse
Trinity reserves the right to refuse or withdraw a Guarantee where it reasonably believes that the Guarantee has been obtained or claimed fraudulently, dishonestly or through the provision of materially inaccurate information.
Trinity may seek recovery of any contribution made as a result of fraud or deliberate misrepresentation.
18Data protection
Trinity will process personal and business information in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and Trinity’s Privacy Policy.
Information may be shared with relevant suppliers, brokers, service providers or other third parties where reasonably necessary to assess, arrange or administer the Guarantee or the customer’s services.
19No waiver
If Trinity does not immediately enforce a provision of these Terms & Conditions, this does not mean that Trinity has waived its right to enforce that provision later.
20Governing law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising in connection with the Trinity Guarantee, subject to any mandatory rights available to a customer under applicable law.
